The Heartland Country Resort is pleased to celebrate our 15th year in business. Heartland began in 1994 when Dorene Henschen, a teacher, wanted to share her love of nature, animals, and the farm life with others.

We recognize the importance of the green movement and protecting our environment . All of our buildings are equipped with geothermal heating and cooling units to make your stay comfortable and conserve energy. You can also enjoy the natural surroundings and the sounds of nature with the quiet operation of our geothermal systems.

The Lodge, The Lodge Suite, and The Log Cabin Suites all have undergone extensive renovations with new decor and furniture, but the animals and service on which many of our guests have come to depend are still the same.
