The Heartland Country Resort is known for its horseback riding and for its scenic wooded trails that cross winding streams and rolling hills.

Mohican State Park is nearby and offers some of the most beautiful scenery in Ohio. Heartland offers all day trail rides at Mohican, which gives the rider a glimpse back into a time when the Mohican Indians roamed the land in search of food and game. Riders might just see whitetail deer, foxes, turkeys, coyotes, or one of the many species of birds indigenous to the area.
